For year 2010 we are sponsoring 19 children - 6 Boys and 13 Girls!

The year 2009 ended in a positive way after having helped various charity projects and also having an opportunity to expand our project from the beginning of 2010 including 5 Tamil children from Batticaloa East of Sri Lanka and another child from Rathnapura, South- East of Colombo.

The five children were selected from different schools near Batticaloa with poor family status.

Isundu had a “Spinal Cord" surgery and is not able to move his feet and is carried to school. We donated a wheelchair to Isundu Noopura, a 12 year old schoolboy at the D.S. Senanayaka College in Colombo 7.

Books and a Stethoscope were donated to Aranie Asarathnam, a medical student of the Eastern University of Sri Lanka. She has been searching on the internet to find some help to buy her books for the 3rd year studies and wrote us after seeing our website.
After confirming her family status and her studies at the University, we decided to help her.

Although Aranie is very busy with her university studies she was very keen to find some children to whom we could extend our help and she took over the responsibility to assist the children throughout the year.

Regarding the Sri Piyadharshanarama Dhamma school project at Pinnekelewaththa, Divlapitiya to build the first floor of the Dhamma School was completed providing facilities for more than 800 children to hold their Sunday Dhamma School and other classes during the week.
Presently we are sponsoring 5 children from that school including two children who received the highest results on the district level exams on a one year programme.
For 2009 it was Vishmi and Sewwandi, and Vishmi and Thilini are selected for the year 2010.

I would like to mention the sincerity of Gayan, who was sponsored through our project since 2006 and his father for informing us their present financial situation and to stop his sponsorship. We wish him all the best for his future.
